Renault Duster - Compact SUV Review

Renault the great automobile brand  is spreading its network in India as It's the most promising region for automobiles in the coming future. Renault has introduced a new new model Duster in Indian market. I recently drove this machine from Renault and discovered the features in and out. Have a look at the review of this new entry Duster.

Exteriors:

The car is well styled and is able to compete with any SUV present in the market. That's the reason that the car is getting superb response in the Indian market and will boost the market presence of Renault in India. The car has a body to take on every terrain and is styled
to make others jealous. Front is styled with chrome grille and big headlamps with roof rails at the top. The car equipped with rear defogger with wiper and washer to make rainy and foggy seasons lovable. Alloy wheels are just perfect on the 16'' tubeless wheels. I found the headlamps and tail light quite attractive. All in all the Renault has put a lot of effort in Duster.

First thing I noticed inside is the space. As the exterior is huge, the space inside is plenty and Renault has kept the third row seats as optional because in most of the cases those seats are seldom used. The car has all black interiors with beige inputs which gives the car sporty look and the audio controls are also present below the steering.. The central console is equipped with music system that has Bluetooth,  USB and Aux-In connectivity which will never let you down. Behind the adjustable steering there is the Multi-Information Display positioned between the speedometer and rpm indicator.  There's is information like distance traveled, Fuel Efficiency, Trip meter, Distance to empty.  Height adjustable seat belts with arm rest in center of the rear seat to keep you comfortable.

Engine:

The car is available with petrol and diesel variants with diesel model having 85ps and 110ps engines. The petrol engines have a displacement of 1598cc while the diesel ones have 1456cc. Though the engine is not big enough to call it a true off-roader but for it is more than sufficient for city driving. The pickup is good but yes there's a certain lag. All in all this little engine do wonders when efficiency is concerned. As the weight of the vehicle is lower the engine gives a decent efficiency of 14kmpl in petrol while a superb 20kmpl in diesel making it  a good option to choose.

Safety:

The car has Dual Airbags with ABS and EBD making it a very safe car to drive. In addition it has Park Assist and keyless entry to give you a comfortable and safer driving experience. 

Finally all I can say that the car is amazing to drive although bit engine improvisation would be appreciated. Car has all the features you can expect in this segment and space and styling are the most appreciable factors. Thumbs up to Renault Duster from my side.
